S6 v2.2 and Layouts
I'm trying to get back to the way we were working before upgrading to v2.2, and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.
We have 32 faders. Faders 1-16 are used in a layout to hold VCAs which are then spilled into the spill zone. The spill zone is faders 17-32. I created the layout, there are no channels in the layout past fader 16. The first time I select the layout it's fine. Then after spilling a VCA master into the spill zone I can't "unspill" the faders from 17-32. From that point on all of the layouts display into the spill zone instead of faders 1-16. Thoughts? Re: S6 v2.2 and Layouts
Greetings,
If an L Spill or R Spill switch is lit white, when you recall a layout it will recall into that particular zone and not a 1-1 global layout. Is this what you are seeing? Use SHIFT + L Spill or R Spill to collapse the zone. Jeff |

That was it.

Today I couldn't spill most of my layouts to the R spill zone. It kept jumping back to normal banked tracks. There was exactly one layout in my template that was assignable. Any idea what was causing this? I used to be able to spill my VCA master layout (resulting in empty faders) and nudge/bank that through to move the vcas visibly within the zone. Seemed like spilling the layout got an error and jumped straight out of it. Any changes in recent software? |
