pro tools 2020 crashes when opening session
 

Hello friends,

every time i open a session on pro tools 2020.3 it crashes and close.

I can create a new session but after closing it (even without any plugin) when opening the same problem occurs.

I did a clean install of osx Catalina and PT 2020, and it didn't solve my problem.

Could someone help me?

Hi, welcome to the community.

Does the same thing happen when you create a new session, import your old session data, save it, and then re-open the newly created session?

I already imported the data for the complete session, I saved the session and when I reopen the same problem happens

Sounds strange. If you have any 3rd party plugins installed, move them to unused folder and try again. Even a single badly behaving plugin can cause problems.

I moved the third party plugins and the problem continues.

I also moved all the pugins, including avid plugins to the unused folder and the same.

Pro tools 2019.12 work fine, only in 2020.3 I have this problem.

Sounds so strange I believe you need to contact Avid Support

Does your iMac have a Fusion system drive? They're not really that good for working in PT.

Same problem here. Can't open any session. Protools immediately crashes.

Mac Pro Mid2010, OSX 10.14.6, 4x SSD, protools 20.3.163

no, i don't have fusion installed on my mac
