Soundfield MKV Mic. good for what or not?

Sorry for yet another off topic post, but i'm thinking about getting one of these mic's and its a lot of dosh,(well i've got the chance of a second hand one for 1/4 the price) so i wanted some second opinions.

I know these used to be a very respected vocal mic and PWL studios home of the UK pop producers Stock Aiken and Waterman used one for all their vocals and i have also read about amazing results on acoustic guitar and overheads etc! as well as the obvious ambient surround sound use. so my primary question is...Is it good still for vocal/guitar and other stuff.
