Bounce in Place?

The new Stand-alone-mode or ilok-only mode means more focus on in-the-box mixing and production. Does that mean there is a new bounce-in-place or commit-to-audio for virtual instruments and their plug-ins?

Re: Bounce in Place?

no Bounce in place or track freeze..... yet.

In the live stream earlier today, they hinted that they are listening to customers and since customers are saying that they want offline bounce and track freeze, that it will be on a future release of pro tools.

The question is how long it will take to get here.

This year I think it's all about ADC, new interfaces and an open software available to core audio and ASIO.

Avid convinced me today, they are working hard to make things happen.
And Yes they are working on a bounce in place feature.

No 64bit, so we are still limited to 4GB RAM at most.
and no bounce in place? This is more like version 8.5 rather than 9.0.

The ability to use other interfaces is nice, but if you already own an HD3 rig this is kind of a let down.
