MP3 Files Too Large!
I have the mp3 option and for years it's been hassle-free.
However, as of recently, many of my Bounce-To-Disk to mp3 results in file sizes appropriate for aif or wav, but not for mp3's. In other words, a minute long mono sound file will result in an mp3 file size of 5mb, much too big for mp3. I've double-checked my available options when bouncing to disk (fastest, 128 kbps), but I'm still getting the beefy file sizes - though it's hit or miss, (sometimes correct sized files, sometimes too large). Any suggestions? |
Re: MP3 Files Too Large!
I don't have an answer but I am having the same issue. In another thread a guy talked about using itunes but it doesn't have as many options and it is an extra step. The issue is random it works and then it doesn't.

Try changing the output to bounce from (like Stereo Monitor or whichever bus you are using). I know it doesn't have to be the case, but it helped me once.

Re: MP3 Files Too Large!
When you BTD, are you highlighting what you need(so the MP3 has no blank time) and running stereo(as opposed to surround)? My typical 4 minute(stereo) song, bounced to MP3(320k) comes in around 7-8 meg(no problem attaching to an email).
