Re: playback engine settings

I read somewhere, either here or in the manual, that the CPU usage should be set to 99% when using dual-proc machines. Other than that, I think our buffers are set to 256.

Re: playback engine settings

Hi,

Here's mine, took a few attempts to get it tuned for mu usage! up to 100 audio tracks and upto 20 midi tracks HD3 accel MAC OSX 10.3.8 PT 6.9 cs1

H/W BUFFER SIZE 256
COU USGAE 99% (ONLY AVAILABLE ON DUAL PROCESSORS USE 85% ON SINGLE PROCESSOR)
NUMBER OF VOICES 96 VOICES (2 DSP'S)
DELAY COMP LONG (4096 SAMPLES PER CHAN)

DAE BUFFER LEVEL 4

The only 2 i occasionally adjust are the HW buffer when playing midi i'll sometimes set it to 128 for a faster responce. and occasionaly adjust the DAE buffer when bouncing lond performances like 90 minute live recordings etc to a higher level 6 or 8 as occasionally i would get an error message when bouncing with the buffer at 2.

Regards

Chris
