Artist Mix vs Presonus Faderport.

I use Artist Mix at the studio, and a single Presonus Faderport at home.
Why doe the Faderport have better (faster) fader response than the Artist Mix, the lag time on the Mix is ridiculous.
Seems HUI isn't that dead after all. Eucon is painfully slow!!
Any hints on improving it?

I don't have any lag time over HUI with my Artist Mix. What is your networking for the Artist Mix to your computer? Also realise the Artist Mix does higher resolution adjustments than HUI (1024 vs 128).

If you really think it is HUI, you could turn off eucon in Pro Tools and set the Artist Mix to talk to Pro Tools via HUI and see if it is faster.

Original faderport and Artist Mix here and both are fine:o

Re: Artist Mix vs Presonus Faderport.

I have an Artist Mix and control unit, and have used faderport in the past. I have had no lag issues with either. I’ve used my artist mix in Hui mode as well, but Eucon is far more deeply integrated with Protools.

What system are you running it with? Be sure you have the latest version of Eucon for that OS, and nothing later. Avid optimizes Eucon to run smoothly with the most current operating systems and protools versions, and this often causes issues with older Pro Tools versions and OSes. Kind of a drag, but technology is moving faster than people can work to make a perfect software.

Make sure that you are running the latest Eucon software. There was a big improvement in fader latency around a year or so ago.
