HDX drivers not available outside of Protools 18
Hi,
Been having this issue for a while. I can not select the HD drivers for any application other than Protools. Am running El Capitan and 2018.4 HD with HDX card on 2010 6 core mac pro. So I decided to upgrade to a new SSD and have done a fresh install of everything. For a while the HDX outputs showed up as available in MacOsx audio/midi setup app, and when I shut protools all was normal. Now I am back to there being no HDX in Audio/Midi setup, and when protools shuts my converters (lynx aurora 16s) switch to 192khz and distort. Anyone else seen this? Weird that it came right for a while with a fresh install then reverted. Any ideas? Is pretty boring as can fire white noise thru to artists if protools crashes thanks |
Re: HDX drivers not available outside of Protools 18
Got it! So I have to toggle off the HDX in protools to be able to use HDX in other DAWS. Noticed that Protools takes the HDX outputs back when reloaded, even if it is still set to use a different interface!
Bloody confusing, but workable |
