Workstation reset error
1 Attachment(s)
Hi guys!
I've got another intermittent issue with our S6. Sometimes, right after boot, we get this error message: The system expected list failed to load. All connected workstations have been reset. It's not ground breaking as we can reconnect once the computer is fully booted. Why might that happen? Best, J. |
Re: Workstation reset error
Greetings,
Please try deleting the Expectedlist.xml file (login as admin) located here: Users : S6 Users: AppData Local... Jeff |
Re: Workstation reset error
Jeff, this is not a fully-qualified path to expectedlist.xml, and indeed I can't find it in any folder under appdata/local

Workstation reset error
Sorry. Here you go:
C:\ProgramData\Avid\S6\ ExpectedWSList.XML Note: ProgramData is hidden by default. best, Jeff Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
Re: Workstation reset error
I am also having this problem, and the paths above are not valid for me. Where is the file that needs deleting? I'm on an S4 connected to MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. Power cycling has no effect.

Re: Workstation reset error
Note that you need to enable the view for hidden files in the Windows Explorer in order to see the root folder C:\ProgramData

Re: Workstation reset error
The most common reason for this happening is the file gets corrupted after the Master Module is powered off without shutting it down first.

Re: Workstation reset error
This worked, thank you! Indeed I was powering it down without doing a proper shut down. I will be better in the future.

Re: Workstation reset error
We would love to get one of the corrupted files if this ever happens again.
