Re: Creating Midi Track Crashes Pro Tools 6.9.2
so i have been running some tests to try to trace down the problem. It seems it only crashes when the m-audio keystation 49e is connected via usb. When I disconect it, create tracks, then reconnect it everything is fine. I checked the m-audio website for drivers, but it says the keyboard dosen't require any. Is this just a feature of buying a cheap Midi Controller? Or is there something else i can do to solve this?

Go to MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences>By Host and trash 'com.apple.midi.a bunch of numbers and letters.plist'.
Go to MacHD>Users>your account>Library>Preferences and trash 'com.apple.audio.audiomidisetup.plist'. Empty the trash and restart, then see if everything is working. |
Re: Creating Midi Track Crashes Pro Tools 6.9.2
Hi, I think I had the same problem - MIDI tracks in Pro Tools prevented the file from playing. When I pressed play on the transport bar, stop would press itself immediately.
I deleted the files that you mentioned, BUT I still can't get my MIDI devices to play through Pro Tools (nor through Noteability Pro). Both of my MIDIsport devices seem to be getting no input from the computer: the new 2X2 that I am trying to test, and the 1X1 that has worked for a couple of years on another (PC) system. I am wondering if there is a conflict with the MBox that will not allow me to use these devices on the same system. Do I need to get one of the MIDI interfaces approved for use with MBox? I am running Tiger on an iMac G5 (brand new) Thanks! |
