Missing plugins on new 2020.5 Pro Tools install (Sansamp PSA-1 and others)

I'm finally getting around to transitioning over to Pro Tools, and though I've had a subscription for awhile, I'm just installing it for the first time on my current computer (Windows 10, installed via Avid Link). I've known that for years the Sansamp PSA-1 and a host of other plug-ins are supposed to be included in the base Pro Tools app, but it along with seemingly dozens of others are just flat out missing...am I doing something wrong? I'm happy to provide as many details and answer any questions to help get this sorted out. I've researched my issue and only found a handful of people who have been missing this, but most of those threads and articles date back at least 3 years. Does Pro Tools via subscription in 2020 no longer include this classic plug-in among many others?
I do at least see the Air series stuff, Eleven Effects, and a few others that I can see via Avid Link, and the very basic EQ/Comp/Gates, etc that are standard. Thanks ahead of time for your help and patience.

SansAmp should be in the core plugins install so maybe just try again and double-check you have no permission problems

Re: Missing plugins on new 2020.5 Pro Tools install (Sansamp PSA-1 and others)

I did a reinstall of Pro Tools and it seemed to go ahead without a hitch...If it were to have installed these plugins correctly where would they be located exactly on a windows machine? Is it possible they're getting stored somewhere else and I would need to manually move them over? Is there any separate download location to get them and install them myself?

I can try to reinstall Pro Tools again, but should I try to do it manually with an install exe instead of via Avid Link?

Sorry I'm still so confused on this, there seems to be no trace of it or any of the other Bomb Factory plugins in PT2020 for me.

Maybe someone else will chime in for Windows, but I would think install exe would be better option than Avid Link. Could help you more on Mac, but for sure the plugin should be included.

Voila! The separate downloaded Pro Tools installer did it!

I'm sure updates will be fine with Avid Link, bit it seems the way to go for anyone stumbling on this with a similar issue is to ALWAYS use a downloaded installer on your local harddrive when installing Pro Tools for the first time on a machine.

Thanks all for your help and time.

I currently have the same issue. Installed a fresh PT Studio 2022.6.0. Sans Amp PSA-1 not even showing in my iLok listing of plugins. Found the direct exe. install of the plugin alone, installed that and nothing?

Bizarre. Sucks because I used that plugin alot.

iLok? SansAmp won't show up on an iLok since it's a core Pro Tools plugin.

Is "SansAmp PSA-1.aaxplugin" actually in the Plugin Folder? C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

If it is and it's not showing up in Pro Tools then trash prefs, specifically you are after removing the plugin cache file: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Avid\Pro Tools\InstalledAAXPlugIns

I'm not sure what installer you are running or exactly where you got it from (you sure it's current and installing a AAX-64 files, not RTAS or AAX-32 only files. if the file is not in the plugin directory you should be able to just rerun the original Pro Tools installer.
