2018.12 No new features?

No new features? No development? Avid's new pricing structure is based on that. Not on the bug fix. There is so much to add .... but what does Avid do?

Yeah, pretty disappointing release - I guess they just needed more time, but the last release wasn't exactly feature heavy either.

Just grabbed Studio One 4 again (stupidly sold it a couple of months ago) - Presonus definitely delivers on the features.

And Cubase 10 ausi, even if Steinberg slaughtered the interface.

I don't really need any new features. I'd like better compatibility with current versions of macOS, more stability and the speed and zippiness of Pro Tools 10.

Yes, but you are not alone. And that does not require an annual plan, but an after-sales service that deals with corrections. The request was created by Avid's new business model. Annual plan = development, new features. We do not want to go to the moon with PT, but things like several marker rules, being able to move several markers at the same time, an auto solo on track (clicked), a G indication at the top when the groups are active or not, an integration of the midi panels which avoids the long and eternal unfolding of the menus, more elaborate colors, a global and visual plan of the paths, a 4k interface, etc. Things that are done elsewhere.

New features are cool when I use them :D

The plugin search feature is invaluable for those will a pile of plugins for example.

Anyhow, bug fixes and optimisations are cool. Get the crashing down to the once in a blue moon of PT 5 and I'll be a happy man :-)

I know people can be frustrated if they are hoping for a specific new feature but I applaud Avid for getting out so many bug fixes that I know affect people. I hope to see a focus on quality continuing here and then lay new features on top of that.

The last release had ZERO new features.

2018.7 was the last release that had any new features added. That’s almost half a year without anything new added.

I’m all for stability, but this is a bit much.
