8 M-Powered License not showing up on iLok
I recently purchased a Pro Tools upgrade, but my old license for 8 M-Powered is not showing up on my iLok. I no longer have everyday access to an m-audio interface, so I had to upgrade. I saw that someone had the same issue not too long ago, but I did not see the final resolution. What should I do?

Re: 8 M-Powered License not showing up on iLok
There were no ilok assets for PT8le and below and iirc M powered was the same way
The dongle was the interface |
Re: 8 M-Powered License not showing up on iLok
So, does that mean I need to be linked with the M-Audio hardware in order to upgrade to 11?

I don't think so....
Try the upgrade procedure and see what happens..... You should probably know the serial number and the activation codes when u initially installed the software |
Re: 8 M-Powered License not showing up on iLok
M-Powered did indeed have an ilok asset. I'm not sure why it's missing for you though.

Did you activate your Pro Tools license? If not, does it show up when you log into iLok.com? |

The important thing is that you need to have an iLok account at www.iLok.com and your M-Powered license needs to show on that account when you look in the iLok License Manager you download and install from there. When you do an upgrade to Pro Tools 11, you need to enter the exact same iLok account user ID as the account where your iLok is. If you received an Activation Code with the upgrade, go to http://account.avid.com/activation to use your Activation Code. Please note, you will need an iLok 2 (the rectangular one, not the original key shaped iLok) For help with downloads and installation, see the following: Avid Customer Care How To Videos How to Activate and Download Pro Tools 11 Avid Product Activation Video Tutorials |
