Waves ver 11
All my waves plugs are ver 11..... my plan renewal is coming for updates. For me they work perfectly well. I think they’re all 64bit except that studio rack plug which they were delaying updating.
Q, any reason I really need to renew if I’m happy where I’m at? Plugs for me are just a lil bit of seasoning (and only if they make a positive contribution) never really the basis of sound I’m creating.... I tend to want try capturing the sounds of the instrument(s) that means miking and getting that right..... I mean there is a whole load of reasons why you would use plugs. I just try to not over use them but at the same time wouldn’t want to be without them |

I’m happily using a combination of V9, V10 and V11. With US$29 sales, it may be cheaper just to buy a new version, as opposed to updating your plan (guess that depends on how many plug-ins you own). Welcome to 2020 – the Year of the Disposable Plug-In! |

Haha...gotta remember that one! |
Re: Waves ver 11
My avid support plan is good until June, 2023.... I might just leave the waves plan until then or when if anything changes at avid that makes it necessary.

Thats what I would do aswell as everytime we update Waves we get hosed and have to reinstall and work around for hours. All the Best and Prayers to Everyone in AU who are arfected by the horrible fires. Heard some cities will have 44 Degrees this weekend which in turn will make putting out them fires even harder :( |
Re: Waves ver 11
You too Chris, yup the place is burning but we are ok at present. Its so freaking hot I have to put the log burner on just to cool the place down lol.... but seriously yup it hasn’t been good I have friends in northern NSW who have lost houses. We had one spark up about 5kms out of town last week but the local firies got under control pretty quickly then a few days later we has a big storm come through and drop 35mm of rain in about 15min which put it right out..... best bit of rain we have seen in months.... problem is all this new growth is now happening and if it don’t rain it’ll turn parched and create a fuel load ready to burn again.
I reckon our political leader could learn a lot from our firies.... and their international colleagues from New Zealand, Canada and the USA who have arrived to give them a hand.... seen some wild vids of firenados. Thanks for your thoughts Chris.... Quote:

Re: Waves ver 11
I have no intention to pay WUP the foreseeable future; but I must say V11 is the second biggest rip-off in the history of Waves, right after dropping DSP support.
V9 release date 20-mar-2012 V10 release date 11-jun-2018 V11 release date 28-oct-2019 In other words, V9 was 75 months and V10 only 16 months. Good luck for anyone still paying them |

Hey, at least they had a Renaissance re-skin! Compared to what PT Vanilla users got in 2019 that's actually quite a big one :D:D |
