PT 7.1.1 Security Update Bug Fix
 

Hi,

I have Pro Tools LE 7.1.1. I got the Security Update 008 for Mac OS 10.4.11 that caused Pro Tools to crash at startup. I see that patches have been released for PT 8 and 7.3.x. Do you plan on releasing a patch for 7.1.x? I plan on upgrading to PT 8 and OS 10.5 later in the year after some other Leopard compatibility issues w/ other software I own are resolved. In the meantime, I need the stability of my current OS and PT 7.1.x.

I've asked this question in another thread w/ no response. Please let me know if a patch is forthcoming and your best estimate on its release date. Thanks so much.

Unfortunately we cannot issue a fix for 7.1.1, due to component differences between it and 7.3.1.

The only remedy you have is either to reinstall your OS and not installing the security fix that causes the break, or upgrade your version of Pro Tools.
