Mbox 3 High Sierra 10.3.4 Blinking Blue Light
1 Attachment(s)
[Solved] Hi all,
I can't get my Mac to recognize my Mbox 3. In the control app, it says "Hardware Not Connected," doesn't show up in Audio MIDI Setup, etc. I updated to the latest Mbox driver (1.2.13), and uninstalled and reinstalled several times, tried several different verified USB cables, tried the other USB port, etc. The blue light on the Mbox just blinks, which in the past I've been able to "cure" by rebooting. I have MacBook Pro, Retina 15-inch 2015 2.2 GHz i7, 16 MB RAM, running High Sierra 10.3.4. The odd part is when I got About this Mac > System Report > USB Bus, Mbox appears as connected. Any ideas? |

For those suffering from this, the solution is go to System Prefences > Security, then click General. Select "App Store and identified developers," then select all the Avid items in the list. Boom. You might have to unlock the system prefs to be able to make any changes to this setting.

Re: Mbox 3 High Sierra 10.3.4 Blinking Blue Light
I've traditionally having problems with mine the last couple of years... It used to work on High Sierra, but I was forced to remove my last High Sierra install known to work with the Mbox 3 Pro... Reinstalled High Sierra - I had to re-download a newer version of it (10.13.6)... and it doesn't work at all...
Maybe this thing your'e discussing here is related... Maybe a security update happened between my previous High Sierra install, and this one. I'll give it a try to see what's going on... I'm linking the other thread I was reading last time: https://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?p=2564123 |
