Avid is pleased to announce the release of EuControl/Workstation software version 19.5 for the S3, Dock, Pro Tools|Control, and Artist Series. Log in to your Avid Account (for S3, Dock, and Pro Tools | Control) or My Artist portal to download the new software.

• S6 style Monitoring Control for the iPad Control App and Dock
  Control any EUCON Monitoring App - MTRX, XMON, Pro Tools Master Fader, Nuendo and Pyramix
• Scroll to Track and Scroll Into View banks Controllers
• New Attention methods from Pro Tools (replaces Attention on Select)
• Options to Attention from clicking on different areas of PT (Track Name, Fader, Plugin, Pan, Send, Edit Window etc.)
• Option to display the function/knobs from what was clicked on in Pro Tools
• Option to then open that Functions Window in Pro Tools.
• Pan and Send Windows now open in addition to Plugin Windows when selected from the Surface
• Option to open these Windows from function button press or knob touch
• Improved Momentary Fader Value options, added fall back to name whilst touching
• New Pro Tools Softkey – Insertion Follow Playback

Eddie, I’m very happy with this list and all the new functionality with Eucon and The Dock.

Fader Flip for The Dock would be a clear game-changer for many on this piece of hardware. You’ve mentioned before it was on “the list”. I’ve spoken to one person who was going to make a decision to buy The Dock based on whether 19.5 would have Fader Flip functionality.

From where you sit, do you think this is something that will happen this year? Can I give that colleague -and myself -some hope on that front?

how about scrolling protools window to a specific track when selecting a layout?


in layout assign editor there might be additional menu where you could select the track you want protools to scroll to when selecting this specific layout


for example i click my dialog layout on s3 and i see dialog tracks in protools, i click foley layout and i see foley tracks etc

I just updated everything and I get this (see attachment)..., what gives?

With this update the OLED behaviour is very strange and buggy.
(switching back and forth between parameters also does not update the screens correctly)

Eddie, are you aware of these issues and able to reproduce them?

Yes.

There’s another thread where it’s been acknowledges and we’ve posted videos etc.

It’s being looked into.

What I don’t get, is how did this get through to release? Within a day of it being available, heaps of control surface users have reported the same issues. Bizzarre.
