Pro Tools AAX Plug-In Latency Chart
 

I don't know if anyone has done this before me, but I tried to find a master chart on both the DUC, and on the internet - and I couldn't find one.

I have therefore created a Google Spreadsheet entitled - "Pro Tools AAX Plug-In Latency Chart"

I thought that it might be useful to have a central place where this information can be entered, edited, and viewed.
The headers are only editable by me, but the entire chart can have information entered by anyone who accesses the chart.

Obviously, information can be deleted too - so I will try to make frequent backups.
Of course you can also download the spreadsheet in just about any format yourself (Excel, PDF, etc).
So please use responsibly ! ;)

Feel free to give me any feedback if you guys think the layout can be improved.
If this already exists somewhere else, please let me know and I'll delete mine.

this would be nice if it Lived at the Top of the Forum !!! Sticky or whatever it is called .. like where the Help Us Help You Link is !!!

Hi John, nobody needs to submit anything to me for entering the data. They can just fill it in directly on the spreadsheet themselves. It will immediately be seen by everyone who views the chart. The beauty about this is that between all of us, we might cover all the plug-ins that are out there. It will obviously take months (even years) to become a truly useful database - but hey, it has to start somewhere right?

This was just my first idea of a starting point. If it becomes popular, then I agree - the sticky idea would be very nice if the DUC admins approve.

I could even turn over the entire project to them if they wanted.

I'll stick it for now and see if Jeffro is ok with it.

I suppose it'll depend on participation whether it "sticks" :D

I do think the community would need to embrace this and add to it for it to be a worthwhile resource.

i filled in a few for you at 44.1 ... will add the other sample rates later .. and trying to stay in Alphabetical Order

that was fast of Drew ... thank you and lets hope this catches on ...

going to need a little Cut and Paste as more manufacturers are added ..

Wow, Google Spreadsheets is even cooler than I imagined.

I just went to look at the page, and I can see users filling in data live while I'm actually looking at the page.

P.S. Yeah, that must have been you John ! Thanks. Yes, I will do a little organizing periodically if things get in disarray. The entry of data is what's important right now.

yeah, i had a little time this afternoon .. !!

btw: i have found a lot of plugins that either have "0" or do not report it .. do you think we should put those in as well ??

Yeah, I think so. That might be useful to the Avid programming crew - even if it's 3rd party. They can probably contact the relevant people once there's enough data reported. Drew can probably answer that one better.
