My Protools Ultimate support expiries in 30 days
 
Hi to Avid DUC

My Protools Ultimate perpetual licence support plan expiries in 30 days
on 29 October 2020 ..
The question is if I renew today do I shorten my support for next year for 30 days?

Will my support plan expires on 2 October next year or on 29 Oktober next year?

Is there any Grace period to react?

No. You renew for 12 new months and can do so every month if you want to. All months are spent after old ones are used.

There is a 30 day grace period but better renew early as you are not losing a single day.

So if I renew 15 days after plan expiried the date will be the same?

My plan is to go closer to Black Friday deals in November ?

If your plan expires on 29 October 2020 and you pay your renewal tomorrow, it will expire on 29 October 2021.

If you renew your plan on 25 November, it will still expire on 29 October 2020. It’s a grace period, not an extra month for free.

Don't make the mistake I did last year. I switched from a perpetual license to a subscription so I would only pay $99 instead of $199, and the day I switched, which was a few weeks before my perpetual license would expire, it set the starting date to that same day, so I lost two weeks of coverage. Even though after much arguing with Avid's tech support (who in the area of billing questions, totally suck), I was able to restore myself to the $199 plan but they never fixed the date issue.
