This session file was created by a newer version of Pro Tools [7.4.2f109]
Hi,
Hope you're well and might be able to point me in the right direction. My specs are as follows. Specs: Pro Tools M-Powered 7.4 M-Audio Ozonic FireWire 1814 Overview: Mac OS X 10.5.4 Leopard Model Name: Mac Pro Model Identifier: MacPro3,1 Processor Name: Quad-Core Intel Xeon Processor Speed: 2.8 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 4 L2 Cache: 12 MB Memory: 8 GB Bus Speed: 1.6 GHz Boot ROM Version: MP31.006C.B05 SMC Version: 1.25f4 Serial Number: G88203GLXYL Problem: For some reason my Pro Tools M-Powered is only recognizing the old ilok license (7.3) which is the original one it came with but since then I updated it to 7.4 and it worked fine for months, but now it isn't. I have downloaded the latest versions of the ilok client software and driver and restarted the mac but when I load up Pro Tools it still only says version 7.4. If I try to open a resent project an error message pops up saying, "This session file was created by a newer version of Pro Tools [7.4.2f109] and may contain data which will be ignored by the installed version of Pro Tools. Please refer to http://www.digidesign.com/session_versions for detailed information." Of course I've tried visiting this link but it doesn't work. Is it most likely that the ilok is broken or something? I have contacted iLok but they insist it is a Pro Tools issue. What can I do to resolve the situation? Any help is much appreciated as I'm a composer trying to get back to work. Thanks again in advance! Oli Godfrey |

I'm not familiar with that particular message. On an off chance have you installed whatever the latest version of 7.4 is?
