Pro Tools Crashes EVERY time I try and open a session
I get the all too familiar error every time I try and open a Pro Tools session. It states that waves5.2.dll is causing the problem and I have NO idea how to fix it.
I have LE 7.3 with Digidesign 003 running on windows XP. I have Waves Diamond and Mercury bundles installed. I am losing my mind here and have spent WAY too much money to have this program crash every single time. Any ideas on how to fix this? Also every time I load up Pro Tools it asks me to select the waves plugins folder. I hit cancel and then an alert pops up "No Plugin files were found, X_WAVESHELL-DAE. Also Pro Tools has this dialog "VOCAL BUNDLE Preferences with a box to check or uncheck. Don't use AudioSuite Don't use TDM Don't Use RTas Don't ask me again. When I check don't ask me again it will ask me anyway on the next launch. Don't know if these are related or not? |

Another thing I'm curious about; why do you have both diamond and mercury? If you have mercury, that should be all you need. |
Re: Pro Tools Crashes EVERY time I try and open a session
I upgraded from Diamond to Mercury...I'm not sure why I still have both installed! :-)
So you're telling me that in order to fix the problem I have to download upgrades...am I correct in assuming these upgrades PROBABLY aren't free? |

You would need to check with Waves about that. If your WUP is up to date, it would be free.
I wouldn't know anything about the status of your WUP. ;) |
