A little trick when unfreezing a track

So, short story, big score, producer notes and TONS of VI's. I froze the tracks when I did the first past.

When unfreezing most active instrument tracks (running an instance of Kontakt) PT would give me the spinning beach ball and I'd have to force quit again and again. This would happen just trying to get one track unfrozen and working.

But then.....

I figured out if I made the instrument track inactive, then unfroze it, then made it active it worked perfectly 100% of the time.

Hope this helps someone.

Great tip:D. Track freeze is something that, the more I try it, the less I like it:eek: Seems easier to do Commit and keep the original in view, but made inactive(especially if the session is going to get opened on more than 1 computer):o
