PT 11.2 Transport Bug
 

In the previous versions I could enter the measure I wanted to go too on the transport while the song was playing (On the fly if you will), but in Pt 11.2 that features is now gone. I have to stop the song and enter it now. Can someone try this and see if it works for you? I'm on OSX 10.8.4 and Pt 11.2. :(

Working here.... Don't know what to offer as a solution. I'm on OS 10.9.4 though.

I tried the same thing on OSX 10.9.4 and it has the same behavior.

I will try to clarify. I'm using the floating transport at the mixer page not the edit page. While the song is playing the counter for the measure on the transport is advancing, I click on it and add the measure were I want to go but it does not allow me to enter a number unless the song is stopped. This never happened for me on the previous version until 11.2. It works fine on version 11.1.3 on both 10.8.4 -10.9.4. The transport at the top of the edit page works fine but not the floating transport on the mixer page.

Anybody else try this yet? Try and enter a number measure in the floating Transport on the mixer page while the song is playing and see if it switches to that measure on the fly.

I just tested this and it works in both PT 11.1.3 Win and PT 10.3.8 Win. We'll need someone else using OS X to try and get confirmation of your issue.

I can confirm on 10.8.4 that in PT 11.2, you cannot enter the bar number into the floating transport window while the transport is rolling. You can do it in the edit window, but not the floating transport window.

Confirmed in OSX 10.8.5 as well. I wonder if the floating transport window, when PT is playing, is just a readout repeater for the transport window in the edit screen? And when stopped goes back to full function?

Yea! it worked fine in PT11.1.3 for me too, but it's 11.2 that's giving us the problem.

Can we get someone from Avid to confirm this bug? If they are not aware of it can we get a Moderator to pass this info on to Avid? Somebody! Please!
