But Ampeg SVX alone, or get Amplitude 3 and build from there?

Hi,
I'm a bass player using pro tools 10 on MacBook Pro. I want Ampeg SVX so I was wondering at this point should I buy Ampeg SVX or should I go by way of Amplitude 3 to build up from there, or, is there a way to run Ampeg SVX via Amplitude 3? Just looking to know what's best.
Any input appreciated!

You want to download and install both the Custom Shop application and the free version of Amplitube 3, because that free version is now the host for all their guitar and bass products. Even if you only have the Ampeg products, you would still open Amplitube 3 as your insert in Protools.

Once you've done that, purchase Ampeg SVX through the Custom Shop. It will be cheaper that way than buying all (or even most) of the individual components of that bundle.

Note that when you buy a collection like that (or Slash, Jimi Hendrix, etc.), you just buy it outright, not with their credits. Whereas if you buy individual components, you first buy credits, then use those credits to buy the individual items.

Awesome, thanks. I will probably give this a shot with the Ampeg SVX full and good thing about the custom shop I guess would be adding guitar distortions etc as needed since I only dabble with guitar and have the occasional friend over to record something.
