Downgrade back to 10.3.0?
 

Is there a way to go back to 10.3.0 from 10.3.9?

If you have the 10.3.0 installer just run it after you unistalled the newer version, if you run OSX just run the installer over the 10.3.9 and that should do it.

i dont have the original installer
i upgraded from 9 online and it's no longer avaiolable to download

any idea how i can get it?

Here are the 10.3 installers. Make sure to install the correct version and the virtual instruments aswell :-)

For future reference, I save EVERY downloaded installer to a 2TB USB drive, so I never have to wonder where to retrieve something:o

Exactly. I actually have the installers saved off to 3 places - 2 hard drives and also on double layer dvd. I learned from my wife who used to be an aerospace safety engineer who had to deal with NASA - no such thing as too much redundancy.

thanks

i uninstalled PT then installed this version

but now when i click on the PT icon, it just flashes and closes.
it does not open. i dont know whats wrong?
i've uninstalled and re installed and same thing happens.

i'm on oxs 10.8.5

Try trashing preferences and databases and restart the mashine. See if that does it and report back :-)

yeah it's not working
I've uninstalled and installed over and over again but PT will not load
the icon will jump up and that's it... nothing loads

Is your iLok okay and is it plugged into a working USB2 port?
Have you repaired permissions?
Something I find that works in stubborn cases is to cold boot the computer between steps. Uninstall, cold boot the computer, repair permissions, cold boot the computer, install, cold boot computer, repair permissions, run PT. The reason I say cold boot is that there are the odd occassions where everything in the computer might not reset itself like it should.
Do you have any third party plugins installed? There might be something there causing the problem. Like a plugin not having proper authorization, not being of the right format, etc.
