Setup talkback with Digital Monitoring

Hi!

Does anyone know how to set up talkback when using digital monitoring?

Route a mic through an aux track in Pro Tools and use a talkback plugin like this one.

Not sure. I've not worked on the S5. I did work for years on a D-Control and what I did there was to take the talkback mic out from the Xmon and split it to an amp driving a squawkbox on the wall in the big room, and to channel 16 on an Aviom personal monitoring system. Turn the amp on and we could talk in the big room or leave it off and we only go out via the Aviom.

The talkback mic for the S6 is converted from analog to MADI. There’s no need for additional software from third parties.

Here’s the manual.

Thank you so much. I take from this that i put my TB mic into channel 24 on my ml530 and then patch input 24 of the analog madi converter where the TB Mic is plugged in to mon D (my cue out)
