003 as MIDI controller in Pro Tools 10.3.8
 

Hi,


I'm running Pro Tools 10.3.8 on a Mac Pro 5,1 OS 10.6.8.


I have used the 003 as my interface in the past, but I have upgraded recently to a system that uses the 96 I/O as my primary interface.


I would like to continue using the 003 as a MIDI controller within Pro Tools, while the 96 IO takes over as the hardware interface device.



Currently, the 96 is indeed the hardware device, and it is working. I have the 003 set to MIDI mode on the surface, and I see it as an option in the peripherals menu.


However, I havent been able to get the 003 to work as a controller. I'm not sure if I have put in the wrong settings in the peripheral menu (I'm not sure which MIDI type to select for the 003), or if there is something else I may be missing.


I also see the 003 device when I open the MIDI studio. I'm pretty sure I've got a case of user error going on. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? Thanks very much!

i wish to use it as well on my PT ultimate..... i`m getting info before to buy one....

Probably not going to work. It was never designed to do this. Start shopping for a HUI or Eucon controller:o
