2018.7 sudden issues

I'm running El Capitan on a Mac trashcan with Pt's 2017.7.0

I do VO work and I tend to keep a system going so long as it's working. Today I was tracking to a video and kept getting error windows warnings about needing more more cache. I set it to 12GB and PT's kept crashing in that session. I've never had tis error message happen before. Wondering if this is connected to the IOS13 issues? I created a new session without the video - just the music track and guide vo and it worked fine.

Wondering if anyone else is seeing this in older versions of PT's?

Thanks, Jeff

There was no PT 2017.7.

They didn’t adopt that naming scheme until 2018.

What version are you actually running?

Jeff:
I see you're running El Crapitan which is the worst OSX Apple has ever foisted on the public. Suggest going to High Sierra and not Sierra as from several threads here it seems like going to HS cures the ios13 issue. Your problems may well stem from that as it sounds like you got bit by that.

Make a clone of your system and do a clean install of HS and programs. Do NOT use Migration Assassin if you can help it.

Sounds like a good plan. I haven't upgraded the OS as everything was running very well. Looks like it's upgrade day!
