pro tools keeps crashing
 

my pro tools hd keeps crashing on me. it does the same thing everytime. it happens when i stop recording a track. the same mesage pops up "assertion/volume/...". i forget the rest of the message any one know what this could be. is it a hard drive issue?

dry deleting the Digi Databases from all of your drives

what do the digi data bases do?

They contain a list of files residing on a drive and their location.
They can easily get corrupted, causing all kind of problems.
Don’t worry about deleting them — ProTools will automatically create new ones the next time you launch the app. (In essence one deletes the databases to force the creation of new ones.)
