Pitch Bend range

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to increase the pitch bend range in Pro Tools?

I am trying to create a big comedy trombone slide using Xpand but can only bend +/- 2 semitones.

Please help, it's driving me mad!!!!!

Re: Pitch Bend range

The pitchbend range is set within the VI, and each VI can have it's own independent settings.

There may be a setting within Xpand itself, if not, which I can't recall off the top of my head, then Xpand must have a set range of 2 semitones.

I was looking at this recently and I don't think Xpand allows the pitch bend range to be adjusted.

If you got Sampletank2SE with your bundled apps, that has pitch bend.

Structure Free does too...

Correct!

This is covered in the Xpand! Plug-In Guide.

Thanks for the replies

Filosofem - I did actually read the manual but it made no sense to me (I didn't know whether your response was a RTFM post or not!). It was full of unfamiliar acronyms and code like cc101=64, cc6=no. of semitones (or something similar). When I tried to find these values within Xpand 2 I couldn't. Then I wondered if this function had been removed in Xpand 2 as the manual is for the original Xpand. It would appear that there is no manual for v2.

Re: Pitch Bend range

Hi Paul

Pitch Bend (PB Range) is defined in the Xpand!2 Chapter of the Creative Collection Guide.

Xpand!2 PB Range is far more user friendly than that of the original Xpand! (version 1.0) as Registered Parameters (RPNs) needed to be used. CC100 (LSB) and CC101 (MSB) needs to be sent together followed by CC06 (Data Slider) that defines Pitch Bend Range in semitones.
