PT 10 Can't find my 002R.

Now that I made the change to PT 10 I am having trouble finding my 002R. I am running a MacBook Pro with 10.7.2. My hook up is as follows, firewire 800 out to my hard drive. Then from the hard drives 400 port to my 002R. I have downloaded the driver updates and still no luck. I could not find anything in the read me folder either about this. Any Ideas.

I did some more work and the computer sees the 002r as I can route audio out through it. Now am even more confused. Any thoughts. Thanks.

I had the same problem running from my iMac to my G-Tech FW 800, out to my 003. I took the Firewire drive out of the chain, dumped the last PT upgrade and re-intalled PT 10... all good. I have heard from several people that FW 800 drives (two FW ports) to 400 only works on a few drives. Now that I'm up and running, a thunderbolt drive looks like the best solution for me. Want a G-Tech 2 TB Raid FW drive cheap?

Thanks for the insight. I know that the port through the the drive works as I can route audio to the 002r via core audio with Itunes. It also came up in the midi setup on the MAcBook Pro. Maybe I will try and adapter cable and just try going direct to the FW800 port and see what happens.

Re: PT 10 Can't find my 002R.

So i tried going straight from my computer into my 002 and no luck. I will try it with the 002r next and see what happens. Should I try and put Pro Tools on its own partition? I have read that this helps. Also I can't find what version the drivers are that I am downloading. Any ideas as this is really frustrating?
