dr 770 (boss dr rhythm 770) as midi controller/midi output to 11r midi input
 

Hello

I tried to get the Boss dr 770 drum machine to trigger midi in pt le 8.0.5 through the 11r.

i went to midi studio, created an instrument, selected boss dr 770, input as 11r, output none, send and receive channels to 10

i checked the midi channel on the boss dr 770 and its set to channel 10.

created an instrument track with a few different vst/rtas and nothing happened

i was not sure what else to do, but i read another thread where midi out from dr 770 to 11r midi input works and that you can program tracks that way.

dr 770>midi out>11r midi in, i/o: input>11r, output>main, midi input devices>11r (reads as dr 770) checked, insert>boom, sd2, etc...

any ideas?

what am i missing?

got it working: setup>input devices>external!!!! (not 11r)
