My pro tools7 crashes my whole computer every time i open it
 

I just bought and installed pro tools le 7. I have a 15" macbook pro running OSX and easily meets all the requirments to run pro tools.

Whenever I click the icon to run the program a shade like creeps down from the top of the screen and then an error appears saying that my computer has had an error and i need to hold down the power button and restart. It has done it multiple times and I cant figure out what is wrong. I read that if Pro Tools HD is installed on your computer it can crash pro tools LE. I once had Pro tools HD on my computer quite a ways back but I uninstalled it. I am wondering if possibly there could still be files on my computer causing this and if so how I would go about getting rid of those.

But then again that may not even be the problem, if anyone knows anything that can help me out please let me know, thanks a ton.

What version of Pro Tools are you running? Pro Tools 7.0 won't run on a macbook pro and could cause it to crash. There is a free update from digi to 7.1.1 which will be compatible. You can find it here:
