What You Would Like To See In the Next Release?

Apart from bug fixes...

Folders in the clip list

Tab for enabling/disabling edit page scrolling on the fly

Been able to show/hide tracks independently in the edit and mix windows (rarely I want to see aux tracks in the edit window).

Folders in clip list was asked ages ago, since the dawn of Pro tools. For some reason this so much needed feature won't become a reality soon.

Basic surround capability for the non Ultimate version.

Expanded inserts, to show the gain reduction on a bigger meter inside the insert and some basic comp functions like threshold and ratio.

More advanced fades (think Nuendo like with multiple points)

* An option for Cut/Add time operations affect ALL playlists, not just the one on top
* Heat & Trim in PT regular, for better compatibility with HD sessions
* A dedicated drum editor, or an option switch the Midi editor to 'Drum View'
* An End to CPU spikes at low buffer settings
* Automatic soloing of connected Busses, when a track is soloed (as an option)

I just want them to make it more efficient (like Reaper) so my mac's fans don't start howling when I use VIs. Could be identical sessions in every regard, and Reaper doesn't break a sweat.

I wish there was a way to make for better multicore utilization.
I'm not a programmer, so I don't know what goes into that or if it's even feasible at all, but it baffles me that of 12 cores only one gets to do most of the work and playback craps out in large sessions because of an overload, while the other cores are picking their noses.
Nowadays even consumer CPUs come with 6 and even 8 cores, so it's not just people with server grade workstations who would profit from a better load distribution but basically every PT user.

MIDI tracks default to note view - preference setting (restoring behavior lost sometime between v7 and v10)

End the 32 ch limit for PT Ultimate!! Even if it is for a one time fee.

Multiple versions of the same session open at the same time.

ARA (1&2) integration.

1. Fix GUI lag and dropouts that occur whenever using a second display on a Mac.

2. Fix the weird MIDI zombie notes issue where notes occasionally get "stuck" and can't be moved.

3. Improve overall efficiency to reduce CPU dropouts.

4. Track/Clip folders.

Dark edit window option of display.
Many of us like to work in a dark environment and the white background of the edit window is annoying.
Especially in post during screenings, it makes too much illumination. So a dark scheme option.
It's not that silly.
