Delay compensation problems when using H/W io
While mixing a track my bass and drums have become slightly out of sync. I was using 2 io's, one to a spring reverb and one to a distressor. When I removed them the tracks went back in sync. I'm on an HD native system. I am not seeing any red indicators when I check the delay compensation. I encountered a similar problem sometime back when I was using Waves Bass Rider on a track.

Look for a send that doesn't have an actual complete path. On my rig, this little goof adds almost 2000 samples of random delay compensation.:o:o

Thanks, I looked for that and it doesn't seem to be the problem

Re: Delay compensation problems when using H/W io
It seems you're using outboard/hardware effects. Have you calculated the round trip latency and entered that value here?
Setup > I/O Click the H/W Insert Delay tab Type a value, in milliseconds, in the field corresponding with the input. See the Reference Manual on how to determine your hardware's latency. |
Re: Delay compensation problems when using H/W io
Thanks for the reply . I should have mentioned that I followed the manual and calculated the latency. It showed no latency.

Re: Delay compensation problems when using H/W io
PTHD with Digilink I/O will compensate automatically.
What's your interface? |

I have an Avid HD native thunderbolt system 16x16
