And retails for $399 ... Don't we have these VI in our PT12 and IEP2 already? And Riser? Naaah!

This update for the AIR effects collection inside PT12 should be a free update if we are paying $599 for HD support plan IMNSHO of course ;)

But AIR isn't part of AVID anymore. Hasn't been for a few years. Can't expect them to give you something for free from another company.

It's actually a nice enough gesture offering discount to PT8+ owners.

Agree regarding the IEP2 updates but for the plugins that cone standard in PT11/12 etc should still not be a paid update imho.

The reason to buy is if you want all the AIR stuff in VST or AU format, or if you want the new plug-ins. I think they have good reason to charge for that.

If somehow the AAX versions stop being free, or require a paid update, that's when I would call shenanigans.

i thought i read that if we have it here in PTs... it is only $49.99 for the FXplus package so we can use all the AIR FX stuff (plus the new ones) in other VST based DAWs. i think that is a rather nice offering. cheers
