Third party retailers- Pro Tools HD Annual Upgrade and Support Plan Renewal
 

Anyone know of a third-party retailer that offers a price lower than $399?

When I purchased a renewal for my vanilla PT plan, the Avid store had a malfunction and the support desk suggested I buy from a third party. So I did, and I plan to do the same for my HD plan as well.

Never seen that price lower and i believe I read that Avid store is the only place where you can buy the $399 support plan renewal .. could be wrong but i know i saw something about that.

Hey Chris, Sweetwater, Vintage King, B&H, and some others carry it. I figured finding it cheaper was a longshot, but it is carried by third parties here in the US. I'd be glad to save even $10.

Thanks for confirming. I guess that has changed but would love to know if the prices varies between resellers :-)

They only seem to vary by amount of tax charged... I'm a bit unclear on whether such a service is even taxable where I live - the list of qualifications for exemption is a bit cryptic - but all stores I see don't deviate from $399 USD. I was just hoping there was one I haven't seen (too bad audiodeluxe doesn't sell it!)
