In PT10 I can no longer do this it seems. Does anyone know of a way to have multiple video clips on the same video tracks in PT10?

I just completed tracking one of my original tunes, 15 tracks, nothing huge. On my old system (G4 with 512K RAM) I would do my EQ and volume automation and then bounce to a stereo pair. Then, I would apply treatment to that stereo pair and bounce again. I never really used the Master Fader in DP.

In PT9, I have a Master Fader controlling the overall volume, and have inserted a multi-band compressor and limiter on the Master. My question is, if I bounce all the tracks including the master, would the sonic result be the same as bouncing to a stereo pair and then applying the "mastering" plugins and bouncing again?

I guess I just need to know if all the tracks go "through" the master when the output pair is the same for all the tracks.

Thanks!
I've gotten as far as recording them on an instrument track but would altamently like to group each set "cymbals, toms, ect." so I can EQ them accordingly but I'm not sure if it's possible or where I would even start. Hope someone can shed some light on this for me! Thank you! - Steven

Hi,

making music for a film sequence. I've assigned downbeats (beat 1 in the bar) to certain key frames where something happens. Meaning a lot of tempo changes. Now:

1. Does anybody know of a way to keep these downbeats in the same place (same sample positions) but change the tempo between the downbeats to make a smooth curve, making the tempo changes sound more natural?
The tempo would have to be slower at the start and gradually change to the next bar (wholst retaining the Sample position for the keyframes/ downbeats).

2. Any way of exporting a tempo map? To, say Logic?
There's mention of metadata in AAF/OMF files but I haven't seen any specific mention of tempo data.
Exporting a MIDI file doesn't seem to do the trick, it doesn't seem to contain any tempo information. Coorect me if I'm wrong.

Best. Thanks

I just purchased an artist mix and I can't get it to work in HUI mode or Mackie Control mode. I am trying HUI mode for Pro Tools 8 and Mackie Control mode for Ableton live 8.2.5. I am on OSX Lion 10.7.4 and on eucontrol version 2.6.2. I dragged ableton into the Eucon preference pane, selected mackie control, and restarted and I also did the same thing for HUI mode in pro tools, still no luck. The only way so far I have gotten the artist mix to work is by installing eucon 2.5.7 on a snow leopard machine and doing the same steps. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
