I have an AMII sound card installed on a Quadra 840AV. It's worked fine for years but now there's trouble. First of all when I run Digitest it tells me that the card in slot 14 (my AMII card) is fine. Here's the problem. First of all when I try to input sound from any source, DAT, CD, etc. the computer freezes. Secondly, when I try to play back old sound files, they sound pathetic. Too slow, too fast, fuzzy. What's wrong? Help!

Slow, Fast and Fuzzy. This sounds like a clocking problem.

Double check that you are in internal sync mode and try to playback the 2 'Left/Right' audio files that come with sd2. If it sounds good I think you can rule out a hardware clocking problem with the card. If this sounds screwy call in for support, the card probably needs servicing. (650) 842-6699

As for crashing while inputing sound, when exactly does it occur? Does it happen when sd2 is actually recording or when your just monitoring the source?
