I'm trying to setup my 01v96 to feed to the 002 with 8 channels of ADAT lightpipe. I can get signals to return from protools via adat and can sync the 01v96 to PT but can't get ouput from the 01v to the 002 or get sync from the 01v.

Any tips? I need to have it set up by the 19th for a live recording where I need the full 16 inputs happening.

Thanks in advance

You do have two cables right, not just one switching back and forth? I got mine to work only when I had two lightpipe cables going both ways.

You also need to set the Hardware configuration in PT to ADAT, and external sync.

Your problem may also be thet the 01v96 default in 48KHZ, but you may be operating the 002r in 44.1. Change the 01v96 to 44.1 (it is the i/o buttin on the left of the 01v96.

Works like a charm for me.

I've got two cables. 1 from 01v out to 002r in and vice versa. Whenever I try to set pt to external sync by selecting adat it says invalid clock source reverting to internal. I can get the 01v to sync off protools but again nothing will go back.

Should I be turning them on in a specific order i.e 01v then 002?

Did you change the 01v96 to 44.1khz? (assuming you are running a PT session at 44.1)

If so, I would try the hardware ADAT/Internal thing a couple times. Quit Pro Tools and then relaunch it and try again. It took me a few times to establish a connection, but once it did, it has been fine ever since.

I have an 002r, but that should not make any difference.
