I think I'll be able to afford a used MixPlus after the 17th... images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/wink.gif
It'll be interesting to see what effect it'll all have on the resale value of Mix+ systems. I knew going into my Mix+ that, as with all computer technology, it would eventually drop in value. But after all, I bought it to use, because it does what I need, and will continue to do so regardless of it's market value.
Frankly I think it would be great if Mix+ systems became more affordable for musicians, home studio owners etc.

That's what I'm hoping. Mix+ would be a lot better than what I've got now. If I could pick up a used system and a used 9600 or G3 for a good price when the new stuff comes out, I would be a very happy man. That might open up some alternatives to people who would otherwise consider an 001 system. I guess we'll just have to wait and watch the used market in the next couple of months.

Is everyone sure that the new gear will be announced at NAMM??? And not just the M-Box?

Anyone got any insight into trade in vs selling second hand?

Net yet, but isn't it cool that we have the 'trade-in' option to begin with?!! images/icons/grin.gif

All I'm allowed to say is yes there will be a trade in allowed. And the new stuff is awesome and worth the wait IMHO
I would like to know what resell value would be on a Mix system? I posted yesterday and Digi pulled my post!! I'm hereing that a new Mix+ is selling for $5000......Any word?

I'm with you Kama - I'm holding out even though the M-Box is tempting.

I'm very confused about why people constantly complain about resale value.
Heres my take. I spend 20 grand for mix+++... now I've got the cool rig. Now I hustle my ass off and do 200 grand of business in a year. Buy second mix +++ Live, hit the beach be merry and donate the old PTIII rig to a local school ...
wait for PTHD and repeat cycle! (after a 20% hourly rate increase)
I'm glad I remember having to buy half a million dollars worth of gear to compete! A four year old could make this new business model work!
And i'm in pittsburgh! hardly a music mecca images/icons/smile.gif
