5.2 functionality - Input from Digi please

Can anyone confirm if 5.2 just adds the collaboration/Digistudio functions or whether there are other bug fixes/functions added?

Only DigiStudio features have been added to v5.2.
Everything else is the same as the current PT v5.1.1.

There are a few very specific fixes in 5.2 that are the same as those in the Pro Tools 5.1.1cs5 application. The details of what these are and who might need them are rather long, but you can find them in the Downloads/Pro Tools section of Support:

with the same information stated above regarding PT 5.2 vs. 5.1.1.

The vast majority of users do not have the issues addressed in the 5.1.1cs5 release, and are better off using the shipping 5.1.1 application becuase it has been through a much more complete test and regress cycle with the 5.1.1 application. If you do have any of the problems listed, though, by all means download 5.1.1cs5. Your Pro Tools setup, extensions, etc. all stay the same, you just use the different Pro Tools app and can always go back to the regular 5.1.1 app.

These same fixes have gone through more complete testing with 5.2 for DigiStudio, but the application is different, with the added DigiStudio (only) features and menus.

So long story short, the first part of your question is correct, the only new features are entirely DigiStudio specific.
