discontiguous regions???

Does anyone know what one would use the discontiguous selection for? there's a great section on how to select the regions in this way but why, I can't figure out. Is it purely for ignoring edit groups?

The short answer is, if you have to ask why, you probably don't need the feature. http://www.digidesign.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif

The long(er) answer is, you use discontiguous region selection anytime you want to do something to discontiguous regions. For example, if you wanted to move all of your choruses for a song 16 bars out, you could select 2 or 3 choruses, in different locations, and drag them somewhere else. It's just a tool for reducing repitition.

There are a hundred features I didn't know I needed until I learned it was there. Chances are, you'll need this feature 20 times a day from now on. Just because you can.
Plus, 5.1's coming out. A lot of what we've been asking for is in there.
