anyone running PT on a 9600/180

i'm about to get a 9600/180.... yes, i know the 9600/200 and up is the RECOMMANDED machine BUT the 9600/180 is the only one i could find at a decent price. Anyways i would REALLY appreciate if someone can tell me if they manage to run PT24 successfully with a 9600/180. I'm thinking of getting a newer tech upgrade for it too ( G3/400 )...Thanks for your advice/help

Sure go for it! I'm using a 9600 with P T mix plus and it rocks! I'm upgrading the processor to a G 4 450 though. Be sure to get a SCSI card and a 9 gig or more 10,000 drive. buy HDT to optimize the drive then you will be okay.

I'm running PT 24 on a 9500/150 w/3 farm cards, no external SCSI controller card. So far so good.

and make sure you've got a nice lot of RAM in there.
