ok thanks,
now, can I install the sample cell card in my computer with the digi001 card?
I want to somehow hook up an external keyboard controller to trigger the samples and then somehow get those sounds into a track in pro tools LE.
can this be done and with only one computer (p3-650mhz)?

Surely.
You'd hook up your controller keyboard to the 001's midi in, and run a patch cable (actually, a stereo "insert" type cable), from the SampleCell to the 001's audio inputs. In ProTools, the SampleCell would appear as a midi output device on your midi tracks. After creating a midi track for the SampleCell and putting it into record arm, input from your keyboard would be routed to the SampleCell. Or without ProTools running, you can use the SampleCell Editor application by itself to route midi from your controller to the SampleCell card.
