Thanx

I've read somewhere that the faders on the new C24 are very similar feeling then the D8b....... why are you not happy with the Mackie ??? The C24 looks great,.... I'd love to get my hands on one, and will soon .... on one of the digiworld Europe days ...... hopefully next saturday in Paris ,...........

Had a chance to play a bit with the C24 at NAMM.
It appears the faders are those used on the D8B as well.. enough said about those, I don't think they're very good. (but then... better faders, more money).
Buy one if you:
Can live with those faders
Like FR pre-amps
Don't ever want to expand the system

It is exactly what sjoko and others say it is ..... played with one at digiworld Paris today ........Nice job on the C24 btw digi, or should I say Focusrite .... http://duc.digidesign.com/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif http://duc.digidesign.com/ubb/images/icons/grin.gif

It is indeed a very nice piece of hardware, I especialy liked the way the plugin parameters show up on the "pan-section" and the way you can edit them "horizontally" with the "panpots" very comprehensive and clear ..... definately better then on the PC, but then again, the fadercontrol will make up for that one in 5.1 ........

Would I trade my PC for a C24 (even if they give me the extra money back) ????

NO WAY .......once you've gotten the "feel" of the PC, there is no turning back IMHO.

But it is indeed a VERY nice alternative at IMO a very nice price for what you get. PC's faders are the BIG difference though ......

Thanks for the compliment, Jules, that means a lot to me! ProControl and Control|24 are definately targetted for different markets. I see them serving the needs of a broad range of users. It's all about having a choice.
