Video Window Full Screen Problem

Hi guys,

I'm having an issue with 2018.1 with the video window. Whenever I 'right-click>Fullscreen' it I'm unable to un-fullscreen it.

Selecting quarter or half size won't fix it either, as it just resizes the window, but doesn't show the little bar on top to move or allow me to resize.

Anyone having the same problem?

I just install my new rig and I hade a problem like that at 4K resolution
I mess around a litle and my 40 inche screan this what I got that work

Thanks for replying Spock999, unfortunately I'm using 1920x1080 monitors.
Also, running Mac 10.12.6

No problem here (2018.1, macOS Sierra 10.12.6) Trash preferences and try again.

One of the updates with PT 2018 is that you can now make the screens "full screen" on mac, where it takes up its own "desktop".

Make sure your Mix and Edit window are NOT in these "full screen" modes. You can still have it take up the whole screen, just click the green button in the top left with Alt.

Try that?

How does one solve scaling issue in OS 10.12.6. (Sierra) AMD Radeon HD 7950 3072 MB . Ergo: cannot rescale monitors? got no help from Avid. Worked fine in 10.8.5

are there any new on this issue?

I cant find a way to get the video window out fullscreen mode.
all the usual osx shortcuts dont work, i ran out of ideas.
to dump the preferences after every time i went into fullscreen seems excessive....

So to be clear, right-clicking in the video window and selecting a smaller size window doesn't work, or have you not tried that?

Since moving to a 4k monitor for my video, I cannot reliably use video fullscreen or scaled smaller, only "actual size". Anyone have any ideas? Would an external gpu potentially solve this? Running a 2018 6 core maxed out macmini 64gb ram. Running mojave and pt ultimate 2020.12
