S3 not recognized in Eucontrol 3.5

I just got a S3L system and am trying to use the S3 as a PT control surface. Eucontrol doesn't show the surface in any of the windows, All surfaces or My Surfaces.

It IS in Studio mode
It IS directly connected to my AVB compatible Macbook Pro.
In Networks, it shows as a self-assigned IP address.
In Audio MIDI setup, the device and its correct name are listed and checked, and identify makes the green identifier lights flash.
Pro Tools sees it as a playback engine. In Hardware, Identify makes the identifier lights flash

The S3 has firmware version 1.1.3.2563554
The IP address is 169.254.7.174
The Eucontrol software is version 3.5.011754885
OSX v 10.12.2
PT v 12.6.1

I'm beginning to lose my mind.

Any ideas?

OK, I found the issue. I use a VPN and it was blocking the port. Turned it off and hooked right up.

Just read your post,
EuControl is causing issues for myself my own S3 Controller is not showing up in the surfaces area of the EuControl settings within any of the windows, all surfaces or my surfaces.
Could you explain how you resolved your problem.
