I have automated Pan, Volume and Plugins.

I would like to be able to temporarily suspend only the volume automation on all the tracks but continue to read the Panning and Plugin automation.

Is this possible?

thanks,

Open the Automation window, from the Windows menu.

Any type of automation highlighted in red is active.

To suspend a particular type of automation, click on it's name so that it no longer highlighted in red.

In my book, Pro Tools not only needs a truly editable MIDI events list, but an automation events list, enabling you to, for example, suspend automation of a specific parameter in a plug-in for a specific passage of time. Or clearly display what is being automated at a specific time code.

Alt+click any track view selector box in the edit window, and select volume. Alt+Cmd+click (Alt+Ctrl+click on PC) the same box to suspend that parameter (volume).
