Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade from Pro Tools MP9 to Pro Tools 12. As far as I can tell I am eligible to do so. I have an active MP9 license with iLok. The problem is this: when I try to purchase the upgrade from Avid's website and enter my iLok account name, I get this message: "Your chosen iLok account does not have enough qualifying product licenses for upgrade. Please review the following errors and fix them or change your iLok User ID to a different one that contains valid qualifiers for the upgrade.
Missing 1 qualifying license(s) for upgrade to Pro Tools Annual Upgrade Plan (9513-30239-00)."
Any advice on why my valid and seemingly eligible license from MP9 isn't being recognized by the Avid store site?

Thanks...

Hi

Welcome to the community

I will ask the Avid techs about this and get back to you.

Also you know you need an ilok2 key, not the older green keyshaped ilok1 to be able to upgrade.

Thanks Christopher.

Yes, indeed, I have an iLok2 with an active MP9 license that is registered with iLok using their iLok license manager application.

Please let me know what the Avid techs say...thanks so much!

Problem solved, it was my error:

MP9 is only eligible for upgrade with the $199 option "Pro Tools Annual Upgrade and Support Plan (includes free Eleven plug-in)", not the $99 option "Pro Tools Annual Upgrade Plan (Renewable Annually)".

I thought the $99 upgrade was available for PT9, 10, and 11. Is this a bug? I'm getting the same error trying to update my PT10 to 12.

PT9 is $199 and PT11 is $99 or $199 with the annual plan. No Bug!

Read the fine print under the prices and there it says $99 (PT11 only)

Gotchya. Guess I misunderstood...its almost as if Avid makes this as confusing as possible.
